Judge Russ Ridgway was appointed as Justice of the Peace Precinct 5, Place 1 on June 3, 2003 and has won re-election since then. He is a longtime resident of Precinct 5.

Judge Ridgway has handled over 428,000 new cases including many criminal and civil jury trials through October of 2009. He dealt with more than 99,000 new cases in his first couple of years on the bench. For the past 5 years, Judge Ridgway’s court has been the third busiest in the State of Texas in terms of cases filed. He will inform us how illegal immigration affects our lives on the local scene.
